We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

We use Cloudflare services for a smooth, efficient and secure user experience. These include application performance, web analytics, hosting, and DNS (Domain Name System) management. This ensures our service remains accessible, responsive and secure at all times. It also adds a layer of security by protecting our website from various types of attacks.

Sendgrid is an email service provider that we use to manage our email communications. It assists us in sending transactional emails, such as account confirmations, password resets, and notifications, as well as commercial emails for marketing purposes.

Google Fonts API is a service that allows us to incorporate professional-looking, engaging, and diverse fonts into our website to enhance user experience and make our site more visually appealing.

jsDelivr is a free public Content Delivery Network (CDN) that we use to host the open-source scripts and libraries used on our site. A CDN helps speed up our site by delivering content from servers close to the user's location.

We use the Open AI API services to improve the quality of raw chart descriptions, chart insights, and chart titles generated by our software following the upload of a dataset. This helps to improve the readability and coherence of our text outputs, thus enhancing your user experience. We do not send any raw data from datasets to OpenAI, only the text necessary for enhancement and improvement is passed through the API. Furthermore, we have opted out of their service improvement program, which means our text submissions through the API are not utilized for model training or any other service enhancements. OpenAI also adheres to a 30-day data retention policy for all API users by default, ensuring that your data is not held for longer than this period.

Our AI ouput can sometimes make mistakes, especially if the context of the data is not clear. Please verify the recommendations provided in projects and validate any critical information before making decisions based on them. This ensures that the insights and data interpretations align with your specific requirements and objectives.

User Data Responsibility

Uploaded data, data storage and security

SSL connection: All data transmissions are secured using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

We do not send uploaded raw data to external LLMs, but we use LLMs for grammar correction, translation and summaries of raw insights generated by our platform. See here for more details.

We take our responsibility to protect your data seriously and use it only for analytical purposes to provide insights about the data. Our advanced encryption process is designed to keep your data secure. As a general precaution, we recommend removing personally identifiable information from your data. On selected plans, we additionally offer a hashing algorithm that can be applied to any column of your data upon importing. Charts and insights will be shown with encrypted values and can be only unencrypted by matching with your original data. These additional layer of protection ensures the utmost privacy and security for your data throughout the analysis process.

Our commitment to data protection means that you can use our platform with confidence, knowing that we take every precaution to ensure that your data is secure and protected.

International Transfers of Personal Information

The personal information we collect is stored and/or processed in United States, or where we or our partners, affiliates, and third-party providers maintain facilities.

The countries to which we store, process, or transfer your personal information may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information.
